"I am a double lung transplant recipient, and I don't take my time on this earth for granted!  I'm thankful for my many, many blessings:  my husband, my home, my family, and my health for now!  I also love food. I enjoy cooking at home because I can control ingredients, it saves a lot of money, and I can experiment as much as I like. My husband and I aren’t at the income level that we can go out to eat a lot (AND do the other things we enjoy that cost) - it’s just too expensive. Choices have to be made. I love good food: I don’t love paying huge amounts for it, though - and WAY too often, I am disappointed and feel I could have made food at home better. Also, it is easier to practice portion control and discipline at home; if I’m at a restaurant I’m going to order fries, not the kale salad!! And I do get moderate amount of exercise."
